Humsafar is a widely read Urdu social novel written by renowned author Farhat Ishtiaq. Its story is about the breakdown in relationships and families caused by selfishness, and ignorance. Following the publication of the Monthly Khawateen Digest, was published as a complete novel in 2008 by the publishers of Ilm-o-Irfaan.
The novel became very popular among the people. Judging by its popularity, HUM TV transformed the story into a TV serial, which was one of the most successful tv shows.
